Transition

Welcome to The Henry Beaufort School. This page will be kept up to date with all the information you will need in order to make your child’s transition to secondary school run as smoothly as possible. Please see the links below for further information on a variety of areas of interest to new parents, including school uniform.

Parents will soon receive a welcome email, which contains important documents including an admission form and guidelines. Please complete this electronic form and return these to us. We will use this information to arrange our tutor and teaching groups. We also pride ourselves on working closely with your child’s current school to help ascertain as much information as possible about your child in order to best support them over the next 5 years. This process will start as soon as secondary places are confirmed.

We are excited to be working with you and your child throughout the transition process.

We have a virtual school tour from the current of Head of Year 7, Mr Janes, to view this please click the ‘Year 6 Welcome’ tab opposite. This will be updated this summer by Mr Coe, who will be the Head of Year 7 in September. Once we have details for future activities and events we will be in contact with you, we very much hope that later in the year these will be face to face.

Transition Days 7th & 8th July 2021

It is with great regret that I have to inform you that further to the announcement by the Prime Minister on Monday the 14th June we have received guidance from the DfES which means we can no longer go ahead with our planned Transition days on the 7th and 8th of July, or our face to face New Parents Evening on the 8th of July. We will prepare a presentation for parents that you will be able to access online, more details will follow.

We will be following up this communication with a further communication on our intentions moving forward but it is clear that these days cannot take place this term. We have informed your child’s primary school.

We will keep in touch with you over the next few weeks.

Kind regards,

Miss Hearle
