What does our curriculum look like?
The Henry Beaufort School believes that all students have different needs and as a result has a diverse curriculum to accommodate them. We provide opportunities for every student to follow a broad and balanced curriculum.
The school know that students learn in different ways. We group students according to the needs of the individual and to allow for appropriate teaching, including setting and mixed ability teaching.
We pride ourselves on our ability to support students and as a result, identify those who are Gifted and Talented, and provide extension programmes and enrichment activities within their specific subjects.
Equally, we are enthusiastically committed to support students who have Special Educational Needs. The Henry Beaufort School has a specific specialism in supporting students with hearing impairments, which takes students from outside our traditional catchment area. The unit is staffed with qualified Teachers of the Deaf and Learning Support Assistants.
