The Henry Beaufort Business Network Launched
Last week our School welcomed members of the local business community to the launch a Business Network. They enjoyed tours around the campus given by Year Eight students before meeting and chatting with Year Ten students about their varied career paths.
The Henry Beaufort Business Network has been established to provide staff and students the chance to engage with the local business community and find mutually beneficial opportunities for working together.
The group, powered by The Schools Business Network, aims to prepare students for work and businesses the opportunity to connect with and support the future workforce.
David Hewlett of The Schools Business Network was delighted with the launch event and said: “The students of The Henry Beaufort School took great pride in showing off their facilities and speaking with great enthusiasm about their aspirations for the future. The network attendees also got chance to meet and make new connections with other local businesses. It was a great first event for The Henry Beaufort Business Network.”
The Henry Beaufort School Headteacher, Sue Hearle said: “We were pleased to host the first meeting of The Henry Beaufort Business Network. We are looking forward to working together with local businesses to enrich the education of our students as we prepare them for the world of work. The network will also provide its members with a depth of understanding about their future workforce and the skills they can bring to their organisations.”
The Schools Business Network holds monthly networking meetings, the next one is at the Holiday Inn Winchester on 11 April where members and guests will have an opportunity to hear from Steve Jones, employee engagement and leadership specialist. Places at the meeting can be booked via Eventbrite, search for ‘The Schools Business Network’.
