This Cambridge National Certificate (CNC) is the equivalent of a GCSE and comprises of an examination at the end of Year 11, alongside two pieces of coursework that are completed during Year 10.  In year 9 students complete tasks that link to both the exam and coursework element.  

 

The topics covered in the course are:

RO32: Written paper – Principles of car in health and social  care settings (40%)

Understand how to support individuals to maintain their rights

Understand the importance of the values of care and how they are applied

Understand how legislation impacts on care settings

Understand how personal hygiene, safety and security measures protect individuals

 

RO33: Supporting invdividuals through life events  (30%)
