Parent/Student Feedback
I would like to thank all the parents and students who took part in our annual survey. The survey is managed and produced by a specialist company who can compare our results with similar schools around the country. This helps the school evaluate the results and make plans for the future.
A breakdown of the key points is available below but looking at the student survey in particular, we can say that HB students:
• Are well taught and feel the discipline of the school is good
• Feel very safe
• Care about one another
• Feel teachers encourage them to do their best
• Believe they will get the exam results they want
• Are taught the difference between right and wrong
• Are given about the right amount of homework, although 36% say it is ‘too much!’
Overall, the satisfaction ratings have improved further this year and we are really pleased with the results. However, we are not complacent and will consider the many comments made my parents and students to try and improve the school further. Thank you to those who took part and gave us such positive feedback.

What would Students like the school to improve further?
Nothing was considered ‘poor’ in any category, however, further improvement would be welcomed in careers advice, developing confidence and continue improving teaching in certain subjects. Boys gave significantly higher score for Science. Girls gave higher scores in Music, developing moral values and transfer from previous school. Overall 97% of students are happy at the school!
Based on the surveys the key areas for the school to develop further are:

• Continue to improve facilities such as the changing rooms/G block
• Provide more information about careers advice and healthy lifestyles to students
• Seek further ways to improve communication between home and school
• Review carefully the vertical tutoring in Prague
