Comenius Visit to Spain

Categories: International Links

As part of the school’s ongoing Comenius project, eight students have flown to Haro in Northern Spain to meet with our European partners from Czech Republic, France, Poland and Spain to share work and learn about the local La Rioja province.

During their five day stay, students from each school will give presentations on cultures and traditions, share local myths and legends and exchange chapters in an ongoing compilation of a guidebook to the different countries and regions. The group will also visit local towns of historical and architectural significance.

The Comenius Project is a British Council funded project that provides opportunities for schools and colleges to introduce and strengthen a European dimension as part of their curriculum. In addition to learning more about other cultures and gaining an insight into other teaching practices, Comenius provides opportunities for Henry Beaufort staff and students to work together with partners in other European countries at home and abroad.
